Treat people with as much kindness and generosity as possible, even when they are rude. Do this not because the they are nice, but because YOU are nice. :) People usually reciprocate kindness, so it is up to us to take the first step. Do it for the goodness of mankind.
Your mind is your most powerful tool. Learn to be its master and not its slave.
There is plenty of scientific evidence supporting the benefits of meditation with regard to physical and mental health. Meditation can also help us achieve a higher level of self-awareness by helping us resolve conflicting thoughts and beliefs. In other words, if you want to solve problems or find answers in yourself, meditate. Meditate for peace. Meditate for enjoyment. Either way, Meditation will be a positive force in your life.
Sit in a comfortable position. Breathe in through your nose and breathe out through your mouth. While being aware of the soles of your feet, visualize the energy of the Earth as a bright white light that surrounds you. When you inhale, breathe in the white light through the soles of your feet up into your brain, filling your head with the healing white light. Then exhale the white light from your brain to the rest of your body. Do this multiple times. Relax.
